Ralph Spandl , Information Architect

In the 1990’s Ralph Spandl studied and worked in his native Germany, graduating from HdK Berlin (Hochschule der Künste - University of Fine Arts) with a Masters in Visual Communication (specialisation in Interactive Media Design) in 1997 and several years of experience at ART+COM Berlin, one of the leading interactive design firms in Europe. Projects in Germany were web sites and CD-ROMs for such clients as Mercedes-Benz, Deutsche Telekom and the KSK-Bank of Germany.

He moved to Montreal 1997 having received an offer from Mosaic Design to take charge of its’ Interactive Department. While at Mosaic Design he helped to develop the department from one to six employees and worked on such projects as CD-ROMs, Annual Assembly and Interactive Presentations, and Web Sites (Promotional, Administrative, and Commerce). Clients included Van Houtte, Lumec, Itec-Mineral, World Gold Council, Ville de la Sarre, McGill University, Acier Leroux, and UniSelect.

Ralph left Mosaic in January of 2003 and is now working to establish his own clientele. He is a designer and information architect with a complete skill set for designing and deploying high quality and effective interactive and web based applications. Current clients include MSDS Solutions, The World Gold Council, Bowne Global Solutions, Dimartech, In Situ Simulation, Solutions ALTO, Faculté des sciences des infirmières, Loft 8 and Mosaic Design.

In June 2004 Ralph co-founded quattrocento communication, a full service communications studio. He continues to pursue his work as an Information Architect. Ralph's clients can now benefit from a complete service approach to communications: from strategy and communications planning for Internet projects to work in traditional print collateral.
