Computer-generated Images and Animation
The following provides a brief summary of the various steps involved in developing computer-generated images and/or animation.
- 3D modelling of the site’s existing topography and the major facilities and infrastructures planned.
- Mapping of the 3D model(s), using photorealistic textures.
- Plotting of movements in the geometric model—this consists in establishing points of view to be simulated for computer-generated images or paths of movement for animations.
- Animation and rendering—saving of image sequences in various presentation formats.
- Video editing—enhancing the content of the computer-generated images and/or animation sequences (e.g., integration of a logo, project title, narration and/or certain explanatory texts, as required).
